PuttingAce

Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 5, 2026

PuttingAce is owned and operated by JL Golf, LLC in the United States. This policy covers the PuttingAce website and iOS and Android apps. Contact support@puttingace.com with privacy questions.

Website visits and cookies

Squarespace hosts this website and provides website analytics. When you browse, Squarespace may process your IP address, browser, device and network information, referring pages, pages viewed, and the time and activity of your visit. We use this information to deliver and secure the website, understand traffic, and improve the site. The Squarespace activity log may include IP addresses and an approximate location inferred from them; it is separate from putting data recorded in the app.

Necessary cookies help Squarespace serve the website securely and remember essential choices. Non-essential analytics cookies are restricted until you choose to accept them. Select Accept all, Decline all, or Manage cookies in the banner. You can change or withdraw your choices using Cookie Preferences on the website, and manage stored cookies through your browser. Declining analytics cookies does not prevent you from browsing the site.

For cookie names, purposes, and durations, see the cookies Squarespace uses. See Squarespace’s Privacy Policy for its processing and retention practices. Squarespace’s visitor activity log covers visits from the previous seven days; other hosting and analytics records follow Squarespace’s applicable retention practices.

Contacting us and visiting other services

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any details or attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond, troubleshoot issues, and handle privacy or deletion requests. We retain correspondence as needed to resolve the request, maintain relevant business records, and meet legal obligations. Please do not send passwords, authentication codes, or full payment card details.

Links to the App Store, Google Play, Instagram, or other services take you to websites operated by those providers. Their privacy policies govern information collected on their services. App purchases are processed in the relevant app store, not through this website.

Your privacy choices and requests

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, a copy of your personal information, or limits on certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Email support@puttingace.com to make a request. We may verify your identity before responding and may retain information where law permits or requires it. You may also contact your local data protection authority. App account and local-data instructions are available on our Account & Data Deletion page.

Practice data on your device

PuttingAce stores practice sessions, game types, dates, distances, putts, scores, and performance calculations to provide session history and analysis. Unfinished practice and purchase access status may also be stored locally. The current Android version works without a PuttingAce account and does not sync practice data to Firebase. Device or operating-system backups may include some local data.

On-course round logging on iOS and Android

PuttingAce stores on-course round entries on your device, including optional course name, played date, round type, hole and putt entries, starting and remaining distances, miss directions, optional gross round score, and locally calculated putting analysis. Round records are kept separately from practice sessions. Round logging does not require GPS location or a course database. You can choose to share a round graphic using another app or save it to your device gallery or Photos; the service you choose handles shared information under its own policy.

Accounts and cloud sync on iOS

If you create an account using Sign in with Apple, PuttingAce uses your account identifier, email or Apple private relay address, and Firebase user ID. Your profile may contain your name, roster name, account dates, access status, and team identifiers. Cloud sync stores your practice sessions in Google Firebase so supported account features can work across devices.

Team and coach features, when used

Team features may store memberships, roster names, assignments, completion status, and practice results. Coaches and other authorized participants may access information shared through those features. You can also choose to share results using other apps; the service you choose handles that shared information under its own policy.

Purchases

Apple’s App Store or Google Play processes purchases and restoration, depending on your platform. PuttingAce uses purchase and entitlement information to unlock Full Access. PuttingAce does not receive or store your full payment card details.

How information is used and shared

We use information to provide practice and round-logging tools, history and analysis, manage accounts and access, sync supported data, provide team features, and respond to support and deletion requests. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising. The current app versions do not use advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting services.

Service providers include Apple for iOS purchases and Sign in with Apple; Google Play for Android purchases; and Google Firebase for iOS authentication and cloud storage. These providers process information needed to deliver their services. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or needed to protect users and the service.

Retention and deletion

On Android, PuttingAce keeps up to 100 completed practice sessions locally. Saving another session beyond this limit removes the oldest session. Free access displays the latest 10 retained sessions; Full Access displays all retained sessions. You can delete individual completed sessions or clear completed local history in Settings. Unfinished sessions have a separate discard control.

Android also keeps up to 100 closed on-course rounds, separately from practice history. Saving another closed round beyond this limit removes the oldest closed round; an active round is not removed by this limit. You can delete a round using its Delete Round or Discard Round control. Only fully completed rounds without unfinished entries are eligible for operating-system backup. Active and ended-early rounds, private recovery copies, and deleted-round markers are excluded from Android cloud backup and device transfer.

Completed Android history may be included in operating-system backups; cached purchase access and unfinished sessions are excluded from Android cloud backup and device transfer. Local deletion does not remove earlier provider backups or Google Play purchase records.

On iOS, local practice history remains on your device until you remove it using the app's controls or device settings. Use the iOS round’s delete or discard controls to remove locally stored on-course records. Cloud account and practice data are retained while your account is active or until deletion is requested. Email support@puttingace.com with your account email to request account and associated-data deletion. We may verify ownership and complete emailed requests within 30 days of receiving them.

If you used team features, mention that so we can review associated memberships and assignment records. Store purchase records are managed by Apple or Google. Deletion does not automatically cancel a store subscription or issue a refund. Device backups have separate controls through your device or backup provider.

See Account & Data Deletion for platform-specific instructions. Removing the app alone does not request deletion of your cloud account.

Security and international processing

We use authentication and cloud-provider security features to protect information. No storage or transmission system can guarantee absolute security. PuttingAce is operated in the United States, and service providers may process information in the United States or other countries.

Children and policy changes

PuttingAce is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information, contact us. We may update this policy as the website or app features change and will revise the date above when changes are published.
